There was an interesting experience a while ago on 2009. ..  ..
Starting from apprehensive at my brother's netbook that a computer virus, I still wants use Flashdisk to reinstall Operating System but want to boot via USB Flashdisk but because it can not seem to boot bios settings first priority is the USB CD-ROM, HDD, USB Top. Intention to change bios settings but the bios password is active and locked, sadness ... i forgotten the password, even though the password maker is my own, uh ...

Dizziness remember password, think to reset the bios, but unfortunately the Netbook warranty, so not dare to dismantle the chassis. Was really dizzy at that time two days till thinkers could let me how do install the OS without open the case.
still be able to do also find articles about unloading Bios passwords from the Windows download the software and also practiced avail.
In the end did not dare take the hard drive (not sealed because) it had a SATA interface. Then i see the interface seems exactly like his SATA PC ... hmm tried to put and this is matching, try to turn on the PC and it detected as HDD SATA, is a normal then eventually start Install OS Win7 until the first restart I immediately moved into Netbook. And the result ta.ta.. the installations running until the end without problems.

Upshot;
HDD "SATA 2.5" Interface = HDD "SATA 3.5" Interface

Means SATA HDD can be moved, used, clone, installed on PCs or netbooks.

Ref: personal experience, if there is a difference / error please confirmed.
